Background of Company
ARB Technologies was established in 1996 and begun as a distributor
of Cyrix CPU and reseller of Goldstar DRAM (memory product) for the
regional market (ASEAN) as well as acting as a component kiting
house offering procurement and supply-chain management. In addition
we compliment our component lines with distribution of motherboard,
graphic card, thin-client/server, monitor and other IT product. In
1997, we diversify into ODM business and successfully obtain a grant
from the National Science & Technology Board to develop USB
peripherals such as mouse, keyboard and joystick for PC.
In 2000, we developed the MP3 module and successfully sell to INAX
in 2001 to be integrated into their automated toilet systems
retailing at Yen 325,000 in Japan. Another ODM achievement was our
R&D in 2.4GHz RF wireless audio module in 2002 which cumulated into
the sales of modules to Nakamichi for integration into their
high-end 5.1 Home Theater systems in 2004.
Our conscientious desire to harness technology to diversify and
benefit the company’s bottom-line is the fundamental motivation of
latest ambition to get into three additional business segments:
Automotive, Renewable Energy and Financial/Spreadsheet Software
which have very large lucrative export markets for us, respectively.
The next five years will see innovative solutions being offered for
sales from us in the above new business segments.
